SPECIFICATION

What's different on this variant — and what isn't.

Same cast acrylic, same UV print, same cutting and hardware as the main product page. The differences are the effect base and the decisions that come with it. Items marked "Confirmed with your quote" are fixed in the written spec sheet, not guessed here.

Base	Cast acrylic with a holographic film surface. Clear, frosted or coloured bases remain available — this page is about the holographic option.
Effect	A rainbow-shift film laminated to the acrylic before printing, so the base itself carries the effect — it is part of the material, not a varnish applied after.
Print	UV print on top of the effect base. White ink underlay where a design needs solid colour to sit on the rainbow surface — confirmed on your spec sheet.
Thickness	3 mm standard. 5 mm on request.
Size & shape	Die-cut to your outline. Practical range 40–80 mm; larger on request.
Pattern note	The holographic pattern comes from the base material itself and varies between film batches, so the pattern isn't chosen to order — what you control is the artwork printed over it.
Attachment	Split ring, ball chain, lobster clasp, swivel snap hook, phone loop, or a plain hole.
Hardware finish	Silver, gold, black nickel, rose gold or antique brass.
Packaging	Individual OPP bag as standard. Header card or printed backing card on request.
MOQ	No fixed MOQ — we quote the quantity you need.
Confirmation	Physical sample, digital proof, run photos or first article — agreed with your quote. A sample is the reliable way to judge how the effect reads under your artwork.
Lead time	Confirmed with your quote
Artwork files	AI, PSD, PDF, PNG or SVG. Vector preferred, 300 dpi at final size. Around 3 mm of bleed, with text kept clear of the cut line — your written spec sheet confirms the exact figures for your order.

The choices that change the result.

Bold artwork carries the effect

Fine linework competes with the rainbow surface. Big shapes and solid colour read best; a photo printed straight onto holographic acrylic usually goes muddy — we'll tell you when a design fights the base.

White ink decides the contrast

Printing directly on the film lets the rainbow show through the ink. A white underlay blocks it back out behind your colours. Same file, two different looks — worth deciding before the run.

Full holographic, or accent

The whole piece can sit on the effect base, or the effect can be one design element among flat surfaces in a mixed run. Either way, it starts the same way — send the design and we'll quote it.

QUESTIONS

The three questions this finish always gets.

Can you print my own holographic pattern?

Not as a print effect — the rainbow pattern is a property of the base film and varies between batches, so what we print is your artwork on top of it. If you need a specific pattern reproduced exactly, that's a different process and starts with a feasibility check.

Is the effect on the front, the back, or both?

The film is applied to the acrylic before printing and cutting, so the effect sits on the printed face. One-sided print on an effect base is the standard build; double-sided options are on the double-sided page.

How do I know how my artwork will look on it?

Order a sample of your actual design — the confirmation method for your order (sample, digital proof, run photos or first article) is agreed in the quote. Screen mockups can't reproduce how the film shifts in light.

A NOTE ON SPECIFYING THIS FINISH

Holographic is the finish buyers fall in love with on a supplier's photo and then question on their own design, because the surface that makes it shine is the same surface that competes with fine detail. Judge it on a physical sample of your own artwork before you commit a run — and ask what the effect base does to your unit cost before you promise retail prices.
